A digital gift card works similarly to a physical gift card, except it is completely digital. A digital gift card is sent straight to the recipient’s mobile phone number and email address. The recipient will receive a message and email from eGift it Business containing a link to the digital gift. The recipient simply needs to click on the link to open the digital gift card and view the redemption instructions. The digital gift card can then be stored on the phone’s digital wallet or printed out.

Every digital gift card has different redemptions instructions, based on the brand/retailer. In most instances, the digital gift card can be simply redeemed in store at the cashier, or online on the retailer’s website. The specific redemption instructions will be displayed when the gift card is open in your phone or on your computer.

For in store redemption, in most instances you simply need to scan the gift card barcode at the cashier. This can be done by showing the barcode on your phone or by printing out the gift card from your computer and showing the piece of paper.

For online redemption, in most instances you simply need to enter the gift card number where directed before completing your purchase on the retailer’s website.

You may also be asked to enter the gift card’s pin, which will also appear near the gift card number.

No, all digital gift cards sold on eGift it Business can only be redeemed in Australia. Some retailers may have international operations, however the gift cards are linked to the Australian operations/retail. Please check the gift card T&C’s of the retailer before purchasing a digital gift card.

All gift cards sold in NSW have a minimum 3 years expiry from the date of activation. All retailers are different, so please check the product description before purchasing. eGift it Business is not responsible for any digital gift cards that are not redeemed before the expiry date.

The expiry date begins from the date of activation, which is the date the transaction is completed. If you have scheduled a digital gift card to be sent on a date in the future, the expiry date will still be the date of activation.

You will be given the option to schedule the delivery of digital gift cards in advance. Simply select the date, and it will be sent at 9am (AEST) on that date to the chosen recipient. If you select today’s date, your digital gift will be sent as soon as payment is received.

You can view order reports in your Dashboard. Simply login and access the order report pertaining to the digital gift cards in question. It will show the status of every digital gift card sent and will give you the option to edit the email address and/or re-send.

Once you have chosen your digital gift card, you will be given the option to personalise it with selected add-ons. Please note that these are all digital options, and nothing physical will be sent to the recipient. On receiving the email from e-gift it, the recipient’s digital gift will come to life and “unwrap” on their mobile device or computer where all add personalisation will be displayed.

No! Delivery is free and completely digital.

No. Digital gift cards are not reloadable and extra funds cannot be added.

If you select today’s date, your digital gift will be sent as soon as payment is received. Sometimes there may be a delay in activating a digital gift card, but this is never longer than 24 hours. If a recipient has not received the digital gift card within 24 hours of the transaction, please get in touch.

All purchases made are final. Please choose carefully as we do not offer cancellations, exchanges or refunds. A re-issue or replacement is not available unless it is deemed to be the fault of eGift it. If you would like to request a refund, cancellation or exchange due to a gift card fault, please contact us and provide as much detail possible about the issue.

We accept payment via Australian credit cards (VISA and Mastercard) and bank transfer. Credit card payments attract a 2% fee. If paying by bank transfer, digital gift cards will not be sent until payment has cleared into our bank account.

There are a few reasons an order may be unsuccessful:

  • Incorrect credit card details – please double check you have entered the correct number, expiry date and CVC.
  • Declined by financial institution – digital gift cards are considered high-risk by many financial institutions, so it is not uncommon for transactions to be declined (especially on corporate credit cards) if the financial institution has imposed restrictions on the purchase of digital gift cards. Please contact your bank if your transaction is being declined and ask them to allow future purchases on eGift it Business.

If you’re still having trouble completing your order, please get in touch with us.

This means your web browser is blocking the transaction from initialising, probably because of security restrictions. Please try using another browser to complete your transaction.

No, at this stage we’re unable to accept prepaid gift cards as payment.
